Experiment 3: Model Progress 3

I've done some work on the site, texturing and editing the adjacent areas of my building.

For the model, I have added another block on the end of the square house, further repeating the pattern of form.

For the second mass above the roundhouse, I have changed the form of it, while still retaining the connection to the building it is above. Instead i used the idea of fractals, as Jacky mentioned and repeated a pattern of the form on each floor, stacking them on top of each other as they get smaller. This pattern combines a triangular shape with a circle. The I also sunk this second form into the roof, to reduce the previous models overwhelming vertical presence.

For the bridge that connects the two masses, as well as the second bridge that provides ground access to the school. I plan to use enclosed pathways, that initially start small and increase in volume. The idea behind this was to provide a spatially growing transition between each part of the school. While also using the triangular form prevalent in the other components of the building

The idea of reusing the triangular form in both parts of the building and the bridges, references back to the mashup. Which discusses the use of natural forms in different urban contexts: square house, and the round house
