Experiment Two: Sketchup Model Update

I have returned more towards the original design concept of the parallel projections which combined axonometric no 3 and no 4. I have included curvilinear forms within the model, while also including more architectural details in relation to circulation

The image above shows the entire circulation, starting from the bottom, the entrance of the marker. It leads upwards towards the main mass of the building, and then extends outwards towards the two viewing platforms

These stairs from the entrance and upwards towards the main mass of the structure, are designed to further enhance the idea of interwoven forms, through the criss-crossing structure of the stairs. This follows in hand with Daniel Libeskinds concept of interwoven forms create layered spaces

These stairs within the main mass of the building also follow the aforementioned idea. Once creating a layering of spaces through these interwoven structural circulation forms.

This final set of stairs, are designed as a set of spiral stairs within one of the vertical members of the viewing platform. These stairs are designed in tune with Hans Scharoun's concept of centrifugal and centripetal. By creating circulation that wraps around an axis, and yet in the direction of a single point

  1. A bit difficult to review your work the image choices don't say much. I'll look forward to your model in lumion and then I'll have a look again. Jacky
